Stefanie is a filmmaker and screenwriter based in Amsterdam.

Stefanie grew up in Nijmegen, Netherlands. She studied biophysics and lived in Japan for two years before entering the Netherlands Film Academy. Her graduation short Clan and shorts Harbour and Eyes on the Road premiered at Locarno International Film Festival’s Pardi di Domani International Competition in 2016, 2017 and 2019. Stefanie's films have shown at festivals around the world, in Dutch cinemas and on Dutch national television. Her debut feature MELK, which was developed at Berlinale Script Station, premiered in 2023 at Venice in the Giornate degli Autori. It had its Dutch national premiere at International Film Festival Rotterdam 2024 and will be released in 30 theaters in the Netherlands on April 4th.
